Aretha Franklin serenaded Pope Francis on the final leg of his U.S tour on Saturday in Philadelphia at the Festival Of Families event. Hosted by actor Mark Wahlberg, the Festival Of Families was comprised of music, dance, poetry, and stories of family from various speakers.
Franklin added a soulful gospel spin to the night with her version of “Amazing Grace.” For ten minutes, the Queen of Soul performed the popular hymn with her infamous, dramatic soulful pauses before stirring up some holy spirit before dancing her way off stage.
Andrea Bocelli and Latin sensation Juanes also performed for the Pope and the huge crowd that flooded the streets of downtown Philly.
