Last year, Alicia Keys threw her husband Swizz Beatz (Kasseem Dean) a surprise Coming To America-themed birthday bash, and then he returned the favor for her birthday in January with a House Party-themed bash.
Now this September, it was time for Alicia to throw Swizz another surprise shindig for his 37th birthday, and the theme this time was “retro Hip Hop.” A source told Page Six, “He rolled up blindfolded and everyone yelled ‘Surprise!’”
Rap legends Doug E. Fresh, Kool G Rap and Slick Rick performed on the roof of a loft space in the Bronx, Swizz’s home borough. Guests included Angie Martinez, Carmelo Anthony, and Ty Hunter.
Other legendary rappers in attendance included Rakim, Kool Herc, and Melli Mel. Alicia posted the above pic on IG and the following caption:
