Joss Stone gets up close and personal in the music video for her song, "Stuck On You," a record from her forthcoming album, Water For Your Soul, due out July 31 via Stone'd Records. In the clip, the soul veteran transitions from land to water as she delivers the heartfelt record.
"I've been playing new songs gradually while on the road and it really is the scariest thing,” Stone recently told Official Charts. "I find when you’re playing new songs it’s important to explain what it’s about, otherwise it doesn’t go down very well. Stuck On You has gone down really well live, people really like that one. I mean, it’s got a Sarod in it for goodness sake! It’s also probably my favorite song on the album. I really love it."
Stone's upcoming album, Water For Your Soul, the follow-up to 2012's The Soul Sessions Vol. 2, will dig deeper into her creative box by tapping into elements of reggae, hip-hop, world sounds, and soul.
"It's really a combination of all the things I like," she told Digital Spy about the LP. "If there is a theme to the album, it springs out of conversations, arguments, ideas about ways of living in the world. It's about shaking off all the crap and getting up and realizing that hey, you're alive today, so move on."
