The father of the late great Michael Jackson, Joe Jackson, 87, suffered a stroke over the weekend while vacationing in Brazil.
The Albert Einstein Hospital in Sao Paulo released a statement to the Associated Press revealing that the Jackson family Patriarch is in the intensive care unit and suffering from an irregular heartbeat after being admitted to the hospital on Sunday afternoon.
Aside from vacationing, Jackson was also in Brazil to celebrate his 87th birthday, which was on Sunday. He missed the party due to the hospitalization.
In recent days, Jackson’s social media and website posted various pictures of him dining at various Brazilian restaurants.
