Sammie unwraps a music video for his passionate and emotional ballad, "Dear America." On the freeing and reflective offering, the R&B singer-songwriter adds his musical touch to America's unrest over communities affected by senseless killings of African Americans.
"Nothings wrong with my skin that I'm in," he croons.
"I couldn't sleep last night. I tossed and turned because my brothers and sisters were not at peace," Sammie stated about penning the song. "I found myself questioning America: 'What's wrong with the skin I'm in?' I hope this melody will be a voice for the voiceless. Prayers to Baltimore and to the unrest in our country."
"Dear America" is powerful in meaning, delivery, and feeling. Sammie's message is hopeful and heartfelt!
