The second coming of Floetry has arrived.
Following their on-stage reunion late last year (2014) at London's The Clapham Grand, members Marsha Ambrosius and Natalie 'The Floacist' Stewart confirmed that the duo would hit the road together in 2015.
"I think it's [the] perfect time for us to do it now, we're both grown, we've done things outside of each other and it's just that much easier to come back and give back," Ambrosius stated shortly after the reunion.
The "perfect time" is now as the group has revealed U.S. tour dates for Summer 2015. The trek will launch on June 17 at the Hard Rock Rocksino Northfield Park in Ohio and make stops in cities like Detroit, San Francisco, New Orleans (Essence Music Festival), Philly and New York before wrapping on August 8 at Merriweather Post Pavilion in Columbia, MD.
Natalie previously explained the reunion tour and their vintage catalog: "Ultimately, it's all for the supporters. Everything that we've done has been based on their support. I think it's only right that they're able to enjoy, we're able to enjoy; those songs scream for a bit of fresh air, fresh life."
Fans in Atlanta got the first taste of Floetry's return last weekend. The duo performed at ATL's Funk Fest, which was headlined by R. Kelly.
"…to everybody who came out yesterday to support our first show in almost 9 years we just want to take a moment to say THANK YOU," wrote Natalie on Instagram.
