Looks like the world will be getting a no-holds-bar Leona Lewis on her upcoming album.
As we reported last week, the "Bleeding Love" hit-maker signed a new record deal with Def Jam with plans of dropping her fifth opus this summer.
Titled 'I Am,' the upcoming LP will take a deeper journey into the mind, heart, and soul of the former X Factor winner. In part 1 of a new promo series, Leona gives a glimpse of what kind of content fans should expect.
"It's like full circle back to where I started and where I began and why I started doing music," Leona states in the clip. "I've met people that I've respect and love so much doing this… then I've met people that have come in and taken advantage of me."
She continued: "I've always embraced everyone with open arms and see the best in people…a lot of people were telling me how to be and how to act and what to say… I'm gonna say whatever it is I wanna say, and I'm not gonna compromise myself anymore and I'm not gonna censor myself."
The clip wraps with a snippet of Leona's upcoming single, "Fire."
I love this new fierce Leona because she seemed to take the backseat when it came to her career. Here's hoping for some exceptional music!
