So I’m a little late on this (don’t judge me!)…
Jodeci stopped by The Breakfast Club last week (April 2) to talk to Charlamagne, DJ Envy and Angela Yee to catch up with the legends since their 20 year hiatus.
DeVante wasn’t there, but don’t worry, the group isn’t breaking up! K-Ci, JoJo, and Dalvin explained the group’s fourth member is scared of flying on airplanes (it would have been nice for him to call in, though!)
In the interview, the group reminisced about how they miraculously got a record deal in one try as teenagers when they drove from North Carolina to New York.
They also addressed the infamous viral videos of JoJo passing out on stage in Australia and Dalvin’s stage dive at Wembley Stadium. About JoJo’s fainting spell, K-Ci explains,“We had an 18-hour flight to Australia. Soon as we get there, straight from the airport we gotta go to soundcheck. No sleep, ain’t been drinking, nothing…we don’t go to the hotel or nothing, we gotta get dressed at the venue after an 18-hour flight. So during the little break we take before doing “All My Life,” I say to JoJo, ‘JoJo, you tired ain’t you?’ JoJo start crying, saying, “I can’t let you down’.” Jojo, however, disagrees he ever shed a tear.
