In a continuance of his hit song “Happy,” Pharrell is taking it a step further by making it a children’s book.
According to Billboard, Pharrell and Putnam Publishers have inked up to create four children’s books, one inspired by the smash song. The deal calls for 250,000 trial-run copies of the ‘Happy’ book to be published in September 2015, and will feature pictures of children around the world “celebrating what it means to be happy.”
“Happy” was originally a part of the “Despicable Me 2” soundtrack, but the song’s catchy, infectious, effervescence took the world by storm and became Pharrell’s first No. 1 as a solo artist, staying on the Hot 100 for ten straight weeks in early 2014.
