As twenty-year-old Samm Henshaw completes his final year in college, the busy young man gets acoustically unplugged in this clip for “Only Wanna Be With You,” a single from his upcoming debut EP The Sound Experiment.
Henshaw has a soulful vocal rasp beyond his years, like an Otis Redding for the new century. Some of his musical influences include Frank Ocean, D’Angelo and Lauryn Hill, as well as many gospel greats. In his own words, Samm says, “Art’s about freedom and doing your own thing.”
The Sound Experiment, which was EP was created with friends through late-night jamming and songwriting sessions, is set to be released later this year.
