Last night, the Hollywood Palladium in Los Angeles was on fire, as Snoop and Levi's Jeans joined together for an EPIC pre-Grammy event/concert. The event, which also had cocktails provided by Don Julio Tequila, served as a preview of Levi's new 501CT jeans and an announcement of Snoop's upcoming album. This was the perfect way to kick off the music industry's most talked about weekend.
The evening started out with Diplo, who was later joined by Skrillex, hitting the 1s and 2s, spinning an hour's worth of a great mix of EDM hip hop while guests filled the venue. Then, as the clock struck midnight, Snoop hit the stage, joined by longtime friend and collaborator, Kurupt, and performed all of his hits from "Gin & Juice", "G Thang", and more.
Snoop also brought out industry friends Warren G, Too $hort, Miguel (who was joined by Kendrick Lamar to perform "How Many Drinks") OT Genasis who shut the venue down with "CoCo", the legendary Chaka Khan, and later Pharrell, who announced that he will, once again, be collaborating with Snoop on his upcoming album. The entire venue went absolutely insane when they performed "Drop It Like Its Hot", all while Bishop Magic Don Juan and Comedian Lunelle Campbell looked on from the side of the stage.
All in all, it was a great night and a successful event. Snoop's energy as all of his musical colleagues hitting the stage was undeniable, and it was a joy to watch.
