KEM wooed the audience at the 2014 Soul Train Awards, which aired last night (Nov. 30) on BET. Filled with class, style and grace, the Detroit crooner brought the high energy vibes from previous performances down for a low-key romance trip, and the crowd couldn’t help but sway along.
Seated at a piano, he began his set with “It’s You,” then broke off into “Love Calls.” Ledisi then joined him on stage to perform the duet “If It’s Love,” originally performed by Chrisette Michele. Both sang live, and their impeccable, crystal clear vocals were on point for the soul.
Both artists have albums which arrived this year; Kem’s Promise To Love and Ledisi’s The Truth, both available in stores and digital outlets such as Amazon and iTunes.
