2014 is turning out to be a grim year for celebrity marriages; Kris and Bruce Jenner, Amber Rose and Wiz Khalifa, Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon. Now after being separated for almost a year, the inevitable has happened: Paula has served Robin Thicke his walking papers.
Robin did all he could do to reconcile their broken marriage, even penning an entire album titled Paula in an effort to mend his broken family, but alas, it was a bust. Today, TMZ reports that Patton has officially filed for divorce in Los Angeles on Oct. 3 citing irreconcilable differences. She is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their four-year-old son Julian.
The couple, who were high school sweethearts, married in 2005. The separation came after Thicke found success last summer with his hit “Blurred Lines.” Soon after his mainstream success, rumors of infidelity surfaced along with his admission to alcohol and drug addiction.
