Around this time last week, Estelle was gearing up to perform at the 15th annual New Yorkers for Children Gala at Cipriani 42nd St in New York City. The singer lent her soulful voice to foster care awareness by performing her song "Conqueror," a very powerful and inspirational ballad that speaks to standing strong against adversity.
The songstress was backed by The Boys and Girls Choir of Harlem Alumni Ensemble while on stage as they delivered this important message to people in the audience like Victor Cruz and Selita Ebanks.
At the night's end, New Yorkers for Children raised $1.35 million dollars, and now are another step closer to further enriching the lives of foster care children.
Watch the performance of "Conqueror" below. The song is the lead single off Estelle’s upcoming album, True Romance.
