Macy Gray has her eyes set on a muscular boy toy in the music video for her groovy single “Hands.” In the clip, which sees the music veteran having a good time at a party, she uses the half-naked man as her canvas, and like the song’s title, she is very hands on.
Macy told EW about the video’s concept: “The director, RAGE, came up with it. It’s just about affection, just about being close to people, putting hands on them when you’re dancing. It’s just a purely self-explanatory video about touching people.”
“Hands” will appear on Macy’s much anticipated forthcoming eight studio album, The Way, set for release on October 7th, 2014.
About the project, she adds, “…it’s probably my best album as a musician. I feel like I’ve grown quite a bit. This record is a reflection of how far I’ve come as a singer and musician and as a writer. Just technically, as far as me being an artist I feel I’ve gotten so much better over the past few years and so this album really shows that off for me.
