Scottish music icon Annie Lennox returns today with “I Put A Spell On You,” a tune from her upcoming album, Nostalgia. Originally written and recorded by Screamin’ Jay Hawkins, Lennox executes the blues song in a barn surrounded by a band and small orchestra.
Nostalgia is an album of covers including Hoagy Carmichaels “Memphis In June,” “Strange Fruit” (made famous by Billie Holliday), and “Summertime” (from Porgy & Bess).
