It's not a new single, but new music from Carrie Underwood will have a major roll out via television and theater platforms later this month.
According to NBC Sports, "Waiting All Day For Sunday Night," the new Sunday Night Football theme, will roll out not only via NBC Friday, July 25. It will debut at over 19,000 movie screens nationwide.
"The piece, a 2½-minute behind-the-scenes look at the making of this year’s Sunday Night Football show open featuring Underwood and NFL stars, will debut Friday, July 25 on more than 19,000 movie screens in National CineMedia’s FirstLook pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group and other top theaters nationwide," reports NBC.
The announcement was made during NBC Sports Group’s presentation at the Television Critics Association Summer Press Tour in Los Angeles, Calif.
“Waiting All Day for Sunday Night” is set to the original Joan Jett song, “I Hate Myself for Loving You.” This marks Underwood’s second season performing the song with NBC Sports.
