Contrary to previous reports, Jennifer Lopez will be performing at Thursday's World Cup opening ceremony in Brazil.
"Jennifer has always wanted to participate in the World Cup opening ceremonies," a rep for Lopez tells People. "We have been trying to work out scheduling and logistics. Any statements to the contrary were premature. Jennifer would not want to disappoint her fans or fans of futbol. She will be there."
A few days ago, FIFA dropped the bad news that Lopez would be backing out of her performance with rapper Pitbull and Brazilian singer Claudia Leitte due to production issues, but with this new confirmation, it seems her team worked out the scheduling dilemma.
Now, Lopez’s millions of Latin and worldwide fans can see her rock the stage with Pitbull and Leitte as they perform the official World Cup song, “We Are One (Ole Ola).”
