I stumbled across this inspiring video…a talented young man named Jeremy Green from San Antonio, Texas who plays the viola by ear, defying all stereotypes about young black men.
Jeremy’s been playing the viola for eight years, and was tired of playing classical pieces, so he started playing and recording current popular tunes and uploading videos to Youtube. In this video, he cover’s Pharrell’s mega-hit “Happy,” and makes the instrument purr! He truly makes the viola sound beautiful on the smash single, adding his own flare…and by ear?! Great stuff!
