As expected, the NFL Super Bowl 48 halftime show was a must see. The worlds biggest and most watched concert kicked off with 12 kids singing an acapella version of "Billionaire." The camera soon shifted to Mars banging his drums out to the "Harlem Shake" as he moved closer and closer to the stage where he would soon perform his hits "Locked Out of Heaven," "Treasure," and "Runaway Baby" with his trusty band.
After the high energy "Runaway Baby," things got even more attention-grabbing when the Red Hot Chili Peppers joined Mars for a shirtless rendition of "Give It Away." Mars' set ended in a touching way; before he sang "Just The Way You Are," a few people in the service sent shoutouts to their loved ones via video message.
Overall, it was an impressive performance from Mars, leaving a better memory for fans since they had to watch the Denver Broncos get demolished by the gunning underdogs Seattle Seahawks.
