Chicago's own Jennifer Hudson and R. Kelly have come together to work on new music and it might just make Hudson's forthcoming third studio album.
The "I Can't Describe" singer broke the news in a recent interview, saying she has already spent time working with the "12 Play" singer/songwriter and fellow hit maker Timbaland.
Claiming that she will introduce a new side of herself on this album, Hudson says this music is so cool and so different.
"I’m not going to say I discovered anything, but I’m introducing a new side of me… I call her Jones. That’s Jones, that’s not Jennifer. It’s so different, it’s really cool, and the music is, too. I love the energy. I got to work with Timbaland, and Pharrell, and R. Kelly," Hudson told The Huffington Post of her music video for "I Can't Describe" and forthcoming album.
According to Hudson, there is no set release date for the album, though it could arrive sometime this Spring.
"I think it’s going to come out in the spring, there’s no official date yet. We’re literally still in the studio recording, I was just there a day ago," said Hudson.
Jennifer Hudson's last studio album, "I Remember Me," was released in 2011.
