Late music icon Whitney Houston and her cousin Dionne Warwick have been inducted into New Jersey's Hall of Fame.

The New Jersey natives and music pioneers were among a list of 15 honorees who were installed into the state's historic bible during a ceremony in Newark on Tuesday night (Jan 14.)

Whitney's mother Cissy Houston was on hand to accept the award on behalf of her daughter, who died in February 2012

The New Jersey Hall of Fame was set up in 2008.
