Michelle Williams has the internet buzzing around her new single "Fire," but according to the former Destiny's Child songstress, she almost didn't finish recording the song because it wasn't her.
"It's a really fun song," she told Rolling Out about the follow-up to "If We Had Your Eyes" before adding, "I almost didn't finish recording it cause I didn't think it was me."
Williams credits producer Harmony Samuels for pushing her to record something outside the box and she was very satisfied and comfortable with the final product. She says, "I stepped outside of my comfort zone and did a song I wouldn't normally do and its been a breath of fresh air for me."
As far as the upcoming music video, she adds: "It's natural, it's going to show me being vulnerable…when you're going through the fire everything have to come off of you," insisting, "you might see a little skin."
