The Voice is back and it hasn't lost its appeal with viewers. According to ratings data released Tuesday, Monday's season premiere was a winner with over 14 million viewers tuning in!
This is great news for not only producers, NBC and contestants, but for returning coaches Christina Aguilera and Cee Lo Green, who took breaks from the hit reality singing competition earlier this year.
Aguilera spoke about returning to the series recently, saying it was like returning for a "first day of school" with familiar faces being Adam Levine and Blake Shelton.
"[I wanted to] live my life for a second outside of the bubble of this red chair. And it's important to give back to yourself so that you can then re-give to others, and give in a new way. So that's been nice and it's been refreshing," Aguilera shared during a press dinner recently, covered by the Hollywood Reporter.
In total, "The Voice" was watched by 14.98 million viewers Monday night. The series will continue to air Monday and Tuesday nights on NBC.
