According to an announcement by LiveNation earlier today (July 30), the first day of the 4th Annual OVO Fest in Toronto is cancelled due to the vocal chord injury of its headliner—Frank Ocean.

LiveNation took to Facebook about his injury following a Melbourne performance last week, “It has subsequently been confirmed that Frank has suffered a small tear to one of his vocal chords and has received medical advice that he must rest his voice.”

Like Australian Ocean tour goers, August 4th OVO Fest attendees will receive a full refund.

As for the rest of the lineup, James Blake will now preform on August 5th alongside Drake and special guests.

You were eagerly anticipating the first day of OVO Festival, excited to see performances by some of your favorite artists.

However, news broke that the festival organizer had cancelled Day 1 due to an injury sustained by headliner Frank Ocean. The announcement was made just hours before the show was supposed to begin, leaving many fans disappointed and frustrated.

According to a statement released by OVO Fest organizers, Frank Ocean suffered a vocal cord injury that prevented him from performing on Day 1. While it is unclear how serious the injury is or if it will affect his future performances, fans were left wondering what would happen to the rest of the festival lineup.

Some took to social media to express their disappointment and demand refunds for their tickets, while others expressed concern for Frank Ocean’s health and wished him a speedy recovery.

Frank Ocean’s Injury and Its Impact on OVO Festival Day 1

You’re probably bummed that Frank Ocean’s injury caused the cancellation of OVO Festival Day 1. It was a huge disappointment for fans who were eagerly waiting to see their favorite artists perform on stage. But it was a necessary decision taken by the festival organizers to ensure the safety of everyone involved.

Frank Ocean has been a key performer at OVO Festival in the past, and his absence was felt deeply this year. The festival organizers stated that they had no choice but to cancel Day 1 after Frank suffered an injury that made it impossible for him to perform. It’s unclear what kind of injury he sustained, but it must have been serious enough to warrant such a drastic action.

Despite this setback, there’s still hope for fans who are looking forward to attending OVO Festival Day 2 and 3. The festival will continue as planned, and there are still plenty of amazing artists lined up to perform.

So hold onto your tickets, stay positive, and get ready for some unforgettable performances over the next few days!

Fans React to OVO Festival Day 1 Cancellation

Heartbroken fans were left disappointed when they found out that the highly anticipated first day of the event had been called off. Many took to social media to express their frustration and disappointment, with some even going as far as demanding refunds for their tickets.

Some fans were understanding of the situation and expressed their support for Frank Ocean, wishing him a speedy recovery. Others, however, felt let down by the festival organizers and believed that more could have been done to ensure that the show went on as planned.

Despite the cancellation of day one, fans are still looking forward to the rest of the festival and hoping that everything goes smoothly. With performances from Drake, Megan Thee Stallion, and many others scheduled for the next few days, there’s still plenty of excitement surrounding OVO Fest 2021.

Conclusion

So, you were excited to attend the OVO Festival Day 1 and see Frank Ocean perform live. Unfortunately, his injury caused the cancellation of the first day of the festival.

It’s disappointing news for fans who were eagerly waiting for this event. However, it’s important to remember that safety comes first. The organizers made a tough decision but ultimately prioritized Frank Ocean’s health and well-being.

Let’s hope he recovers soon and we can all enjoy his music in future events. In the meantime, let’s look forward to Day 2 of the OVO Festival and make some unforgettable memories with our favorite artists.
