Christmas 2013 just got a little more soulful!
Mary J. Blige will put her spin on yuletide classics with her first Christmas album, A Mary Christmas, this October, her label Interscope Records announced yesterday (July 25). They are describing it as a "soulful interpretation of classic holiday tunes."
Blige will work with acclaimed composer and arranger David Foster, who’s worked with Michael Buble, Rod Stewart, Celine Dion, Josh Groban and Andrea Bocelli on their seasonal CDs.
Jennifer Lopez recently spoke out about working with Blige on the album. “I just had a big dream come through when I performed at Chime for Change with Mary J., I’ve always kind of wanted to work with her, says J.Lo, adding, “We’re thinking about it, I’m going to do something on her Christmas album…I told her about this song on my album, and she’s like ‘send it to me, I know it’s gonna be amazing’.”
What Christmas carol would yuo like to hear Mary put her spin on?
