The R&B world went dark in 2011 after Jazmine Sullivan announced that she would be taking a break from music to figure herself out. A year later, in 2012, the lights came back on after Ms. Sullivan took to Twitter to broadcast that she has returned to the studio to work on her third album.
"So I'm in the studio writing a freak nasty song [with] pops my mom and two aunts… Lol. #uncomfortable," Sullivan tweeted. She later adds, "Btw… I'M WORKING ON MY NEW ALBUM!!!" she wrote on Twitter.
Things went dark again for a while, but now, the "I'm Not A Robot" songstress is actually showing off music that she's been working on. In a new Instagram upload, the singer-songwriter teased fans with a new record with the caption: "Something New."
She writes: "I just wanted you guys who’ve been patiently waiting on me to know I’ve been working. That’s no official single tho. Just a song. My feelings."
Throughout her time away from music, fans have demanded the young singer's return as many declare her an important voice of her generation. She has received high praises from peers, veterans and music insiders since her break-through debut album, 'Fearless.'
