Kelly Rowland is closing out the month of June on a high note, having her latest album, "Talk A Good Game," debut atop the Billboard R&B Albums chart.
On the strength of a solid promotional campaign and singles like "Kisses Down Low" and "Dirty Laundry," Rowland's album debuted with 68,000 copies sold Wednesday.
Even though that number falls short of her last set, "Here I Am" (77k), it was strong enough to make "Talk A Good Game" her third top 10 debuting album to date.
"Kelly Rowland's fourth studio album, "Talk a Good Game," is the fourth and final arrival in the top 10. It lands at No. 4 (Billboard 200) with 68,000, marking her third stop 10 set," reports Nielsen Soundscan. "The arrival is Rowland's smallest start, dipping below the 77,000 that launched her last album, 2011's No. 3-debut "Here I Am."
In related news, Kelly Rowland is slated to appear in Los Angeles this weekend… possibly for the BET Awards. Her Destiny's Child sisters, Beyonce and Michelle, are also slated to be in town, with Beyonce performing and Michelle co-hosting red carpet festivities.
As widely reported, all three appear on Kelly Rowland's album via the song "You Changed."
