Calling the overall sound of the LP “refined,” the first single “Somebody Else” features Nicki Minaj for a summer knock that re-acquaints fans with the soulful singer, who’s been on musical hiatus since 2009’s D.N.A.
He lists J. Cole as another guest appearance on what could turn out to be the second or third single for a track called “Fatal Distraction,” and mentions Sevyn Streeter as a duet for classic R&B male/female duet. “I’ve never had a duet…I’ve known her for a while and I’ve been hearing her voice and I’ve always been a fan…and now that she’s stepping out to be a solo artist, she’s young and she’s relatable.” And ladies, he even dishes on the type of girl he’s passionate about… “Round-the-way, but refined,” the host described, and he agreed.
