Ray J believes that his music speaks for itself. Beyond songs like "I Hit It First," he says he's still the same person and he had to remind his sister, Brandy, of that fact.

"I told her the music speaks for itself. Outside of the music I'm still cool. I'm still who I am. Sometimes when you're living a lifestyle you've got to live it. You've gotta go hard or go home and scary money don't make money," Ray J shared during an appearance on "Watch What Happens Live" recently.

Watch a clip from his interview below, including why he has the "utmost respect" for Kanye West.

Ray J, the singer and songwriter who has been in the music industry since his childhood, is taking a big step forward with his latest track titled ‘Go Hard or Go Home.’ He talks about Brandy and how he created the hit single ‘I Hit It First.’ In this article, we will explore what Ray J had to say and get an inside look at the creative process behind his new single.

Ray J’s career spans over three decades now – from singing duets with his sister Brandy back in their teenage years to producing smash hits such as ‘I Hit It First.’ His ambition knows no bounds; it comes as no surprise that he was inspired by one of rap’s greatest lines when creating his newest release. With its message of hard work and determination, ‘Go Hard or Go Home’ is sure to become another fan favorite among listeners around the world.

The production of ‘Go Hard or Go Home’ was no easy feat for Ray J. From writing lyrics to recording vocals, there were several steps involved before it could be released. During our exclusive interview with him, Ray J opened up about the inspiration behind the song as well as what went into making it happen. Tune in for more details on Ray J’s journey in creating this great piece of art!

Ray J’s Music Career

Ray J is a singer, songwriter, and actor known for his chart-topping singles such as “One Wish” and “Sexy Can I.” He’s also the brother of R&B superstar Brandy Norwood. Ray J has been in the music business since he was 11 years old, when he signed with Elektra Records. Over the last two decades, he has released nine studio albums and several mixtapes that have garnered much success on radio and streaming platforms alike.

In recent interviews, Ray J has opened up about life in the industry and advice for aspiring artists. His motto? Go hard or go home! In an interview with Billboard Magazine, Ray J said “You can’t just come into this game half-steppin’. You gotta take it seriously.” This mantra reflects how dedicated Ray J is to making sure his work stands out above the rest. He added: “At the end of the day you want people to remember your name…you don’t want them to forget who you are.”

When asked what inspired him most throughout his career, Ray J pointed to his sister Brandy as an example of someone who never let obstacles stand in her way. As far back as 1994 they had worked together on tracks like “Another Day in Paradise” which went Platinum; then more recently collaborated on the track ‘I Hit It First’ off his latest album The Royalty Network Presents Raydemption 2. Whether working solo or with family members, it’s clear that nothing will stop Ray J from striving for greatness in all aspects of his creative endeavors!

Recent Projects And Collaborations

In addition to his music, Ray J has recently been busy with a number of projects and collaborations. In 2017 he released ‘Raytroniks’ – an album featuring EDM-style remixes of his classic songs like “Sexy Can I” and “One Wish.” He also collaborated with Kenny Burns on the track ‘Party Ain’t A Party’, which was featured in the hit movie Girls Trip.

Ray J is currently working on several new projects including a comedy series called Raydiation, a fashion line for men’s shoes, and another feature film titled Forgive Me Not. On top of all this, he’s continuing to tour around the world performing at festivals such as SXSW Music Festival in Austin, Texas; Wireless Festival in London; and Lollapalooza in Chicago. It’s clear that Ray J is determined to stay true to himself while pushing boundaries and exploring new avenues within the entertainment industry!

No matter what project he takes on next, it will be sure to capture audiences from across the globe just as much as his previous work has done over the years. With each release or collaboration Ray J continues to prove why he stands out among today’s musicians – always staying ahead of trends while creating timeless records.

Conclusion

In conclusion, Ray J has demonstrated his ability to go hard and make an impact in the music world. His latest collaboration with Brandy shows that he is still a force to be reckoned with when it comes to making chart-topping hits. He’s also creating new projects such as “I Hit It” which are sure to gain attention from fans of all genres. Ray J continues to push boundaries and create unique sounds that keep him relevant year after year.

Ray J has always been one to stay true to himself and continue pushing forward no matter what obstacles come his way. His message of “go hard or go home” speaks volumes about his resilience and ambition in the industry. As a long-time veteran in the game, I have no doubt that Ray J will continue inspiring many more generations of up and coming artists for years to come.

No artist can truly understand the grind without experiencing it firsthand like Ray J has throughout his career. From working on collaborations with some of hip hop’s biggest names, releasing his own records, and continuing to build upon his legacy – there’s no denying that Ray J is here to stay!
