Paris Jackson, the late Michael Jackson's only daughter, is opening up about the love her father gave her and her sibling, insisting "he wanted the best for us."
Now 15 years old, Paris was only 11 when her legendary father passed away. "I have lots of memories of my father," Paris told UK's Mail on Sunday newspaper's Event Magazine, out now. "He was an incredible father. We all loved him to death."
While all of the time spent with her father will remain in her memory bank, Paris plans to bring some of his dreams to life, one being the restoration of his Netherland estate for sick children to enjoy. She plans to start on the project as soon as she becomes a legal adult.
Another memory she carries with her daily is her gift of music and the lessons her father gave her. "'He'd try to educate us as much as he could and was always looking out for us. He was very protective," she says adding, " And yes, he did teach me to do the moonwalk." Unlike her father, Paris has no plans to pursue music professional, insisting she wants to be a heart surgeon. "I want to help people, that’s its," she said.
Paris says her King of Pop father wanted his children to have a normal childhood, and that's why they had to wear mask in public. "He didn’t want anyone to see what we looked like. That way we could have what he didn’t, which was a normal childhood," she said.
And normal is what Paris is living. Despite her wealthy trust fund and the family's money, she attends an ordinary school. She has been a cheerleader and played women’s football, and has also dabbled in photography.
In addition to discussing her family with the mag, Paris also spoke on Justin Bieber, and the reports that he smoked marijuana.
''Young girls on Twitter were cutting themselves, self-harming to get his attention to get him to stop," she says. ''But I don't think Justin should do something where he would get caught, so that his young fans aren't influenced.
She continues: ''Imagine when those little girls are adults and they have kids and they ask, 'Oh mum, where did you get those scars?' How do they respond? When I was 12 my favourite singer smoked marijuana. I think it's very irresponsible of him to do that!''
