Esperanza Spalding is back in the Grammy winning circle after shocking the world by beating Justin Bieber for best new artist. For her latest album, "Radio Music Society," the Jazz/Soul singer has secured two more Grammy wins to add to her growing catalog.
Spalding and Thara Memory won the Grammy for best instrumental arrangement accompanying vocalist(s) for the Radio Music Society track “City of Roses,” and she also took home the Grammy for the best vocal jazz album award for “Radio Music Society,” which topped Billboard’s jazz chart and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 after its release on March 20, 2012.
Spalding was nominated for three awards for tonight's 55th annual ceremony, but lost the third to Mumford & Sons in the best long form music video category.
Congrats to Ms. Esperanza Spalding.
