New music from Mariah Carey is around the corner, but don't get your hopes up, it's not from her upcoming album. The Pop/R&B diva has recorded a song for Disney's upcoming fantastical adventure Oz the Great and Powerful, arriving March 8th.
Entitled "Almost Home," the track will be released on February 19th via Island Def Jam. A music video will also be shot, which will be directed by award-winning photographer/director David LaChapelle, whom has a long standing working relationship with Carey.
Carey, currently a judge on this season of American Idol, is prepping a new album for 2013.
Oz Synopsis: A small-time magician with questionable ethics arrives in a magical land where he must choose between becoming a good man or a great one.
