After the recent airing of the latest chapters in his ‘Trapped in the Closet’ series on IFC and news that the series may be coming to Broadway, R. Kelly has now revealed he’s working on a book to full of back story information on the characters.
“I know where Chuck was before he met Rufus. I know what was happening before they actually met. I know what happened with Bridget and the midget and everybody else’s situation,” Kelly told Fast Company’s Co. Create site.
He mentions that this plethora of new character information is enough to classify it as a prequel. “It’s the prequel meeting the sequel. You’ll get to find out a lot of things you don’t know, or that you can’t know, unless you read the book or unless I tell you — so I decided to do a book on it.”
No word on a projected book release date, but in case you missed the debut of the new chapters that aired the day after Thanksgiving, IFC will be re-airing the newest chapters again on Dec. 15 at 10pm.
