In the words oh K. Michelle, the Soul Train Awards will be “shaking the table” for their Vegas debut. R&B heavyweights John Legend, Fantasia, and Charlie Wilson have been announced as the first performers for this year’s lineup. In addition, music legend Jody Watley and singer-songwriter Keri Hilson will join previously announced host, Cedric the Entertainer, and 2012 Lifetime Achievement Award recipient, New Edition, as two of this year’s presenters.

John Legend is also up for a prize, he was nominated for “Song of the Year” for “Tonight (Best You Ever Had)” featuring Ludacris.

The Soul Train Awards will take flight in Las Vegas, NV, kicking off on Thursday, November 8th at Planet Hollywood. This year will be a 3-day experience, which will include a Comedy All Star showcase on November 9th, a live concert event on November 10th, and golf tournament.

The Soul Train Awards 2012 will premiere simultaneously on BET and Centric on Sunday, November 25th at 9pm ET/PT.

It’s a golden age of R&B music, and three stars have been announced to perform at the upcoming Soul Train Awards. The ceremony will feature performances by John Legend, Fantasia, and Charlie Wilson – all icons in their own right! Get ready for an evening of soulful tunes from some of the best vocalists in history.

John Legend is no stranger to awards shows; he’s taken home ten Grammys throughout his career as one of today’s most influential artists. His powerful songwriting has earned him critical acclaim across multiple genres — from pop ballads to hip-hop bangers. He’ll be sure to show off why he’s so beloved on stage this November.

Fantasia was crowned winner of American Idol back in 2004 and she hasn’t looked back since then. Her sultry voice and theatrical flair bring her songs alive with emotion and passion. His career was launched to new heights with successful hits such as “Ordinary People”, “All Of Me”, and more recently “Glory”.
