Update Oct. 28: Police say the driver called 911 for help, and someone tried to revive Reed on the scene. She was later pronounced dead at Gwinnett Medical Center. It’s unclear why Reed was in the road. Police say the driver wasn’t at fault and won’t be charged. Reed would of been 33-years-old today.

According to reports, Natina Reed, known from her stint with 90s R&B group Blaque has died. Unconfirmed sources says the former hitmaker was killed by a hit-and-run driver early this morning (Oct. 27) while crossing a street in Atlanta, GA. Reeds untimely passing comes one day before her 33rd birthday. She is survived by her son fathered by west coast rapper Kurupt.
Blaque, made up of Shamari Fears-Devoe, Natina Reed, and Brandi Williams, had a string of hits in the late 90’s. Their debut album, which included the smash hits, “808,” “Bring It All To Me,” and “I Do,” sold more than 1.5 million copies and was certified Platinum. Billboard named Blaque the 4th Best New Artist of 1999.
Lisa Lopes signed the group to her production company, Left Eye Productions.
The group was in the process of trying to make a comeback. R.I.P.
