Rihanna is officially the top charting artist on Billboard’s Pop Songs chart.
Honored by the notable publication last week, Rihanna is the only artist to amass a record amount of hits, number one and otherwise, on the Pop Songs Chart since its inception.
“Having first arrived on Pop Songs only as recently as 2005, her accomplishments are exceptional. She has the most chart appearances (34), the most top 10s (21) and the most No. 1s (nine, a mark she shares with the No. 6 artist, Katy Perry),” reports Billboard. “She’s reigned with “Umbrella” and shined with “Diamonds,” the latter of which debuts this week. The top artist of Billboard’s Pop Songs chart’s first 20 years is Rihanna.”
In related news, Rihanna has debuted a stunning new ad for “Nude,” her latest fragrance.
“Here is my new add for a brand new fragrance #NUDE !!! Make sure you smell sexy, especially naked, this fall,” Rihanna said announcing the fragrance.
In other news, Rihanna is expected to be a nominee at the 2012 American Music Awards. Nominations will be revealed soon for the anticipated celebration of music, which will take place in November.
