After releasing their rendition of TLC’s classic song “Waterfalls” as a new single last week, British R&B/Pop/Hip Hop group Stooshe is back with the accompanying music video. As we previously mentioned, TLC members T-Boz and Chilli gave them their seal of approval for the cover and now this is confirmed as they both make cameo appearances in the visuals.
“Waterfalls” serves as the group’s third single behind “Love Me” and “Black Heart,” and will appear on the groups debut studio album, scheduled for release in November 2012.
Stooshe’s rendition of TLC’s classic hit “Waterfalls” is a vibrant and soulful homage to the iconic 90s track. From the outset, Stooshe injects their own unique flair into the song, giving it a fresh and contemporary spin while still paying homage to the original.
The trio’s harmonies are tight and dynamic, blending seamlessly to create a rich and captivating sound. Their vocal delivery is spirited and full of energy, infusing the song with a sense of urgency and passion.
Lyrically, “Waterfalls” tackles heavy themes such as the dangers of drug addiction and the consequences of risky behavior. Stooshe’s interpretation remains faithful to the original message, delivering the lyrics with sincerity and conviction.
The production of the cover is modern and polished, with a blend of electronic beats and soulful instrumentation that updates the song for a new generation of listeners. The arrangement builds gradually, incorporating elements of pop, R&B, and soul to create a dynamic and infectious groove.
Overall, Stooshe’s cover of “Waterfalls” is a bold and refreshing take on a beloved classic. With their powerhouse vocals and vibrant energy, they breathe new life into the song while still paying homage to its timeless appeal.
