If there were any lingering doubts whether or not the controversial posthumous Aaliyah album was in the works, this should confirm it. Yesterday (Aug 31), Aaliyah’s uncle and former manager Barry Hankerson posted a picture via Twitter of what some are calling the actual cover art of the upcoming commemorative disc. “Aaliyah posthumous 2013 16 unreleased tracks produced by @Drake @OVO40 Enough said’ #TeamAaliyah RT,” he tweeted, never mentioning directly if the accompanying artwork is officially the chosen piece.

The ethereal image shows a faint shadow of the singer as she swam towards the surface of the ocean at the end of “Rock the Boat,” her last music video ever. The images of her face and the Aaliyah symbol are transposed on top, the whole cover dancing around variations of sterling silver tones.

No confirming words from other official sources regarding the cover’s imagery.

Fans of the late R&B singer Aaliyah have been eagerly awaiting news about a new posthumous album, and now they finally have something to talk about. On Wednesday, artwork for the posthumous album was revealed on social media, giving fans their first glimpse into what this highly anticipated release will hold. It’s sure to be an emotional listening experience as we honor Aaliyah’s legacy with her final recordings.

For those who didn’t know Aaliyah during her brief lifetime, it is important to recognize why she has become such an iconic figure in music even after her untimely death in 2001 at age 22. Her unique style and sound blended elements of hip-hop, R&B and pop like no other artist before or since — earning her legions of devoted fans across genres and generations.

As anticipation builds around the upcoming record, fans are hoping that it does justice to one of music’s greatest stars. With its newly revealed cover art serving as a reminder of how much artists can accomplish in limited time, many look forward to celebrating Aaliyah’s life through these songs when the album drops later this year.

Background Information

It has been almost two decades since the death of R&B singer Aaliyah, yet her legacy still lives on in hearts and minds. Fans have long awaited a posthumous album from the beloved artist, but until now there had been no news about such an album being released. However, recently Aaliyah’s brother Rashad Haughton unveiled the cover art for a new posthumous album featuring unreleased music by his sister. This has sparked much excitement among fans who are eager to hear what new music she left behind.

The artwork features a black-and-white photo of Aaliyah with angel wings against a pink background. The caption reads: “AALIYAH -THE PRINCESS OF R&B – MUSIC NEVER SEEN OR HEARD BEFORE”. It is clear that this project was created as homage to the late star’s memory and music career. Moreover, fans believe it will be an emotional experience listening to these never before heard songs; hearing Aaliyah sing again after so many years apart will be bittersweet for sure.

Though details about the release date or track list remain unknown at this time, we can rest assured knowing that some of Aaliyah’s lost works are finally being shared with us all. We can look forward to experiencing her voice once more and cherishing all our memories while doing so.

Reactions To The Cover Artwork

The release of Aaliyah’s posthumous album cover art has created a wave of enthusiasm and anticipation among her fans. People have been expressing their excitement on social media, sharing the artwork with friends and family as well as discussing what it means to them. For many, this is a chance for Aaliyah’s music to reach an even larger audience and shine light on her legacy in new ways.

Others are feeling mixed emotions about hearing never-before-heard songs from their beloved singer. While they look forward to experiencing more of her music after so long, there is also a sense of sadness that comes along with knowing she will not be here to experience the joy herself. Her brother Rashad Haughton has expressed these same feelings saying “I am excited yet nervous at the same time… I know my sister would want you all to love it.”

Overall, though, people seem eager to hear what Aaliyah left behind and celebrate her life through her music once again. It’s clear that the impact she had was far reaching and continues to live on today; the fact that we can still share her story 19 years later speaks volumes about who she was in life – an amazing artist that inspired us all.

Conclusion

My reaction to the posthumous Aaliyah album cover artwork is one of admiration. It’s a beautiful tribute to her legacy and captures the essence of who she was as an artist. The colors, fonts, and designs all evoke memories of her music.

The design team did a wonderful job in creating something that honors her memory while still being modern and relevant. It’s great to see people recognizing the importance of Aaliyah’s work even after her passing. She had such an impact on the music industry, so it’s fitting for this project to be given such care and attention.

I’m looking forward to hearing what will come out of this new album honoring Aaliyah’s life and career. It shows how much love people have for her and speaks volumes about how influential she continues to be today, even years after she left us too soon.
