R&B veterans Tyrese, Ginuwine and Tank have solidified a deal to bring music from their group TGT to the masses.
Breaking the news just before the BET Awards Sunday, Tyrese confirmed their album will be in stores early next year.
“R&B just got a face lift. We’re going to remind y’all why you fell in love with R&B music. TGT is coming soon,” Tyrese said on the BET pre-show red carpet.
According to Tank, egos were put aside and Atlantic (Records) is making their wish of bringing a TGT album to fans a reality.
“We were able to put away egos and put away anything that didn’t make sense,” said Tank.
While this is good news, this isn’t the first time music fans have heard of TGT, an album and a “Shirts Off” tour. Recognizing that, Tyrese made it extra clear this time. All of it is a reality.
“It ain’t no rumor, it’s for real. At the top of the year the album is dropping and we’re doing the shirts off tour for the ladies only.”
