Singer Selah Sue took event-goers on a roller coaster ride as she performed songs from her debut self-titled album at Bowery Electric in New York City. The Belgium-born singer, who made her U.S. debut with shows in Boston and New York last month, gave fans a musical gumbo performance with her blend of pop, soul, funk and reggae.
Telling fans that she was nervous before performing her current single “Raggamuffin,” It was evident that this rising star can handle pressure. Her mesmerizing vocals, sultry tones, and snappy chops left the small intimate room wanting more.
Selah is gearing up for the U.S. release of her debut self-titled album, which garnered platinum certifications with releases in Belgium, France and the Netherlands. The U.S. version will include three exclusive, never-before-heard songs: “On the Run,” “Break,” and “Fade Away”; as well as the J.Cole assisted remix of “Raggamuffin.”
