Bobby Brown has granted an exclusive no-holds-barred interview slated to air on The Today Show this Wednesday.

Taking on questions and accusations, including the one that he is to blame for Whitney Houston’s struggle with drugs and alcohol, Brown insists he did not “get high” prior to meeting Houston.

“Not true. I didn’t get high [on narcotics] before I met Whitney. I smoked weed, I drank the beer, but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all,” says Brown.

Going on to say it’s “unexplainable” how people could accuse him of getting Houston addicted, Brown said “I’m not the reason she’s gone” and drugs were a part of her life “way before” he was even in the picture.

Nonetheless, Brown feels “terrible” about her death and accusations thrown his way. He insists “I know differently. If anybody ever spent time around us instead of time lookin’ through the bubble, they would know how we felt about each other. They would know how happy we were together.”

Bobby Brown’s interview on The Today Show airs Wednesday, May 2 and Thursday, May 3.

Bobby Brown, the singer-songwriter and former husband of Whitney Houston, has been making headlines lately. His memoir is set to release soon and he’s already revealed some controversial insights about his relationship with the late pop star. In an interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Bobby Brown shockingly claimed that it was not him who got Whitney on drugs – a statement which goes against the mainstream narrative that has followed him for decades now. This article will take a closer look at this bombshell revelation from Bobby Brown and analyze its implications.

The public perception of Bobby Brown has long been overshadowed by allegations of drug abuse in his marriage to Whitney Houston. For years people have assumed that it was Bobby who introduced her to hard drugs like cocaine and crack; even though both had admitted to using these substances prior to meeting each other. But in recent weeks, Bobby has gone on record saying that this wasn’t true: “I didn’t get high before I met Whitney… I smoked weed, I drank beer but no, I wasn’t the one that got Whitney on drugs at all”.

In light of this new information, many are questioning how much responsibility should be placed solely on Bobby for what happened during their tumultuous marriage? Was there more going on behind closed doors than we previously thought? Could the truth finally be coming out after all these years? This article seeks to answer those questions as well as explore any potential ramifications related to Bobby’s shocking admission.

Bobby Brown’s Background

Bobby Brown is an American singer-songwriter, rapper, dancer and actor. He was born in Boston on February 5th 1969 and began his professional music career with the R&B group New Edition. They released several albums throughout the 1980s which achieved great success worldwide. Throughout his solo career he has had a number of hit singles including “My Prerogative” and “Every Little Step”.

Apart from his musical achievements, Bobby Brown also made headlines due to his tumultuous marriage to fellow singer Whitney Houston. The couple married in 1992 and divorced in 2007 after having one child together. During their time together, there were reports that Bobby was responsible for introducing Whitney to drugs such as cocaine.

The issue resurfaced again many years later when Bobby wrote about it in detail in his autobiography Every Little Step: My Story (2016). In this book, he denied any responsibility and argued instead that her drug use started before they met each other. This statement caused much controversy at the time but was ultimately accepted by some fans who believed him over accounts given by others close to Whitney Houston’s life.

Allegations Of Drug Use In His Relationship With Whitney Houston

Allegations that Bobby Brown introduced Whitney Houston to drugs have followed him for years, but he has consistently denied them. In the book Every Little Step: My Story (2016), he asserted that her drug use was already present when they first got together. He provided evidence to back up his claim, including accounts from people who knew Whitney prior to their relationship and reported witnessing her using cocaine before she met Bobby.

However, some of those same sources later refuted this narrative by saying that it was actually Bobby who provided her with controlled substances in order to mask pain and depression issues. They argued that since he had a history of substance use himself, it would only be natural for him to introduce her to similar habits as well.

Despite these claims, there is still no clear answer about what caused Whitney’s addiction or how much influence Bobby played in it. What is certain though is that both individuals were responsible for their own decisions which could not be attributed solely on one another.

Conclusion

I. Bobby Brown’s tumultuous relationship with Whitney Houston has been a source of speculation for decades. It was alleged that he introduced her to drugs, which led to her tragic death in 2012. However, Bobby insists that this is not true and that it was actually the other way around.

II. While there may never be a definitive answer as to who influenced whom when it came to drug use, one thing is certain—Bobby Brown didn’t allow himself to become defined by his past mistakes; instead, he took ownership and responsibility for them. He has since used his platform to spread awareness about the dangers of substance abuse and encourage others struggling with addiction.

III. In conclusion, while no one can say what truly happened between Bobby Brown and Whitney Houston during their time together, we can certainly learn from his example of resilience and perseverance in the face of adversity. His story serves as an important reminder that everyone deserves second chances, even if they have made some bad decisions along the way.
