R&B veteran Monica is going hard on her promo grind with the release of her seventh studio album, ‘New Life,’ which just dropped on Tuesday. The “Anything” singer stopped by 106 & Park to talk with Rosci and Terrence J about her latest project and the growth she’s experienced since when she first entered the game.

Speaking on the meaning behind the album title, Monica explained, “We all as humans sometimes are fearful of what’s ahead. So ‘New Life’ is just saying embrace the new things that can come into your atmosphere. It can be great for you. So as I embrace new love, new music, new people, new things… It’s just been an amazing experience. So I named it ‘New Life’ just as a representation of that.”

Monica named the Rico Love-penned track, “Man Who Has Everything,” as one of her favorite songs on the LP, as well as “Without You,” which she dedicates to her husband, Shannon Brown.

As for the rumor of a possible Brandy and Monica tour, they are still working on it and hoping someone will be able to put the tour together, with an addition of more female vocalists.

Having been in the industry for so long, Monica even delves to how she’s managed to stay inspired and draw from real-life experiences to continue creating music, as well as what advice she would have given herself years ago. Check out the clip to find out what she said!

Monica is no stranger to success in the music industry and now she’s back with a new single, “New Life.” This song marks Monica’s first release since her sixth studio album Code Red. Fans of the R&B singer are eager to hear what Monica has been up to musically and recently got their chance on 106 & Park. The show was all about Monica as she talked openly about how “New Life” came together and more.

Now Monica is ready for another chapter in her life and she gave viewers an inside look into this journey during her appearance on 106 & Park.
