Rihanna may have more work coming her way thanks to a glowing review of her performance in ‘Battleship’.

According to the film’s director, Peter Berg, Rihanna gave a strong performance akin to other music stars who have transcended into feature roles like Whitney Houston and Tim McGraw.

“I believe that musicians often make great actors,” Berg said at WonderCon this weekend. “Rihanna said ‘Treat me like an actor.’ She worked her butt off!”

As previously reported, Rihanna stars alongside Taylor Kitsch in Battleship.

The movie is due in theaters this May (2012).

Rihanna is not just an award-winning singer and performer, she’s also an actress. Her latest movie role in the action film Battleship has been met with great fanfare and critical acclaim. The star recently shared how hard she worked for her role in the film, saying that she “worked [her] butt off” to get it right. In this article, we’ll take a closer look at Rihanna’s journey to becoming part of one of 2012’s biggest blockbuster movies.

As one of the world’s most famous singers, Rihanna was already well known when she made her debut as an actress in Battleship. She took on the challenge head-on, determined to make a good impression despite being relatively new to acting. But what fans may not know is that Rihanna put in countless hours of preparation before filming even began. From physical training to learning lines and developing her character – nothing was left to chance during the making of this movie!

Rihanna didn’t just show up on set and phone it in either; she brought her A game every day throughout filming and became close friends with many of her fellow actors along the way too. We can now finally see why all those months of hard work paid off: Battleship is getting rave reviews from audiences around the world!

Overview Of Rihanna’s Involvement In The Film

Rihanna’s involvement in Battleship was a huge step forward for her career as an actress. She had already made appearances on the big screen before, but this was her first major role in a Hollywood movie. The singer-turned-actress worked hard to bring life to Lieutenant Alex Hopper and make sure she did justice to the character.

The star put countless hours of preparation into researching the script and becoming familiar with the Navy’s culture so that she could accurately portray Lt. Hopper. In addition to attending boot camp at Camp Pendleton, Rihanna also took rifle training from former Navy SEAL Andy Stumpf who said “she worked her butt off.”

In order to give audiences an authentic experience while watching the film, Rihanna immersed herself entirely into the part and it showed – the performance left viewers impressed and eager to see what else Rihanna can do as an actress.

Critical Reception Of Rihanna’s Performance

Rihanna’s performance in Battleship was met with critical acclaim. Critics were impressed by her ability to bring depth and emotion to the character of Lieutenant Alex Hopper, praising her for a job well done. The New York Times even went so far as to say that she “invests Lt. Hopper with unexpected complexity” and gave Rihanna credit for making an otherwise stock action-movie role special.

Audiences also enjoyed the film, especially Rihanna’s portrayal of Lt. Hopper. In both online reviews and at the box office, fans showed their appreciation for her work in the movie – some people even said they felt like they could relate to the way she portrayed military life onscreen.

Overall, it is clear that Rihanna made a great impression on viewers through her powerful performance in Battleship. It is no wonder why critics have praised her performance and audiences continue to talk about it years after its release – this was definitely one of Rihanna’s most successful roles yet!

Conclusion

In conclusion, Rihanna’s involvement in the film Battleship was highly praised by critics. She worked hard to bring her character alive and it certainly paid off. Her performance was described as “stellar” and she proved that she is a talented actress with an immense amount of potential.

Rihanna really gave it her all while working on this movie; she put in endless hours and had to learn many different skills for the role. It wasn’t easy but she never gave up and ultimately delivered a fantastic performance. The success of her character showed just how much effort she put into it.

Overall, Rihanna nailed her part in Battleship and provided us with an unforgettable performance. Her dedication to the craft shines through every scene and we can only hope that there will be more opportunities for her to showcase her talent in future projects.
