The mystery man of the new Emo&B wave, The Weeknd, recently announced on Twitter that he will be preparing a “Balloon Trilogy” at the top of the year. For those that have followed Drake’s prodige, the release will be a compilation of “House of Balloons,” “Thursday” and new release “Echoes of Silence.”
“I can’t wait to re-release The Trilogy as a package, re-mastered for you to collect with bonus featuresâ¦#2012,” says The Weeknd.
Working with Drake on his new single “Crew Love” and rocking on tour with the ambassador of Toronto, it is safe to say Drake might be a part of the Trillogy amongst a host of other features. It has been rumored that The Weeknd, Drake and producer Noah “40” Shebib will be working together.
“40 did not produce anything on this tape⦠Shout outs to 40 though!” he recently stated.
Canadian born Abel Tesfaye first leaked his nine-track mixture ‘House of Balloons,’ in late 2010 and has been able to garner cosigns from publications including MTV, BET Rolling Stone, XXL, The Source and 2DopeBoyz.
Lets see how this mix will redefine R&B. Stay tuned for the official date for “The Trilogy.”
