R. Kelly is looking to continue the saga around his celebrated “Trapped In The Closet” series. The pied-piper revealed to TMZ recently that he has 32 chapters written and is looking for financing prior to releasing the project.
“By the way I have 32 more chapters that I’m trying to put outâ¦it costs a lot of money to do so we’re actually looking for investors,” R. Kelly told the celebrity gossip site.
Kelz continues about the project, “‘Trapped In The Closet,’ aside from me being silly and not having a job and having nothing else to do sitting around the studio, I’ve always wanted to be a movie director. That’s pretty much my movie directing seeping out through my music. That’s the best way to put it. ”
First heard in 2005, ‘Trapped In The Closet’ has since been dubbed a hip-hopera with over twenty chapters released.
Originally released as a single from Kelly’s album “TP 3 Reloaded,” the hip-hopera tells the story of a one night stand that sets off a chain of events, gradually revealed a larger web of lies and deceit.
