One day sales are in, and everyone is waiting to see if pop star Rihanna can back up all that “Talk.” Needless to say, the predicted numbers are shocking for not only Rihanna, whose single “We Found Love” is currently dominating, but also for R&B veteran Mary J. Blige.
According to HitsDailyDouble, Rihanna’s ‘Talk That Talk’ is on pace to debut at No. 2 on the charts next week, with predictions to move 180,000 to 200,000 copies in its first week. Her last album ‘LOUD’ debuted on the charts last year with 207,000 copies.
Meanwhile the Queen of Hip-Hop Soul, Mary J. Blige is predicted to see low sales numbers for the sequel to her 1994 classic ‘My Life’ — ‘My Life II⦠The Journey Continues (Act I).’ The album is currently on pace to sell 120,000 to 140,000 units this week, aiming for the No. 4 position on next week’s charts. Mary’s ninth studio album ‘Stronger with Each Tear’ debuted at No. 2, selling 332,000 units in its first week of release in December 2009.
