Nicole Scherzinger and Lewis Hamilton called it quits weeks ago and it seems Scherzinger is still hurting from the break-up. The ex-couple crossed path in a Los Angeles parking lot recently and according to reports, it’s their first time seeing each other since the split.
Scherzinger was snapped looking sad and clinging to Hamilton but the Formula One driver kept his hands in his pockets. According to The Sun, Nicole and Lewis shared an awkward silence during the encounter outside the shopping mall. While his 33-year-old ex, who he described in the past as the “most beautiful in the world,” focused her attention on his face, the 26-year-old Hamilton stared down at the ground most of the time. When Lewis finally walked away, Nicole kept her eyes on him.
Scherzinger and Hamilton initially met at the European Music Awards in Munich, Germany in November 2007. A source recently told PEOPLE that their long distance relationship and busy schedules were the blame for their breakup.
“They both tried to make it work, but their careers kept them apart,” says the source. “So for now it’s over. They think this is what’s best. They’re definitely going to stay friends.”
Currently it is unclear if the couple had a discussion about rekindling but their body language paints a thousand pictures.
