Last week, music mogul Birdman of Cash Money announced the signing of rapper Busta Rhymes, expanding their chart topping roster. Now, Lil Wayne is keeping pace with Baby and Slim by publicizing the newest member of his Young Money imprint, R&B singer Torion Sellers.
Sellers, a fourteen year old Atlanta native, auditioned for Lil Wayne and Mack Maine before he was immediately signed to Young Money. Sellers is the youngest member of the crew and only the second singer along with Shanell on the label’s roster.
Since joining the label, Sellers has been moving quickly to start generating buzz. In September (2011), he released a 9-track mixtape entitled ‘The Initiation Vol. 1,’ which included a song dedicated to Nicki Minaj.
Currently no album date has been scheduled for his official debut.
