90’s hitmaker Heavy D passed away at a Los Angeles hospital earlier this afternoon. The rapper, born Dwight Arrington Myers, was taken to a Los Angeles hospital about noon, and pronounced dead an hour later. He was 44.
Heavy D was influential in the Hip Hop culture during the 80s and 90s. He was recently seen closing out the BET Hip-Hop Awards show. As of press time, the cause of death is unknown. We will keep you updated as the story develops.
